It’s half time of the Champions League Final and i’ve just received a MMS message on my Vodafone handset from Vodafone themselves advertising their free roaming from 1st June 2009. Seconds after while watching the Champions League Final on ITV an advert from Vodafone advertising the same free roaming is shown.
An example of clever marketing and advertising from Vodafone and how cross platform marketing can be different.

Having created various corporate brochures, catalogue’ etc over the years, many client ask me if they can have them uploaded to their website. The easiest way in the past has been to upload a PDF with a download link. The other way I have developed over the past few years is by creating Flipbooks which create a great way of actually viewing a brochure or catalogue as if you are turning the pages but on your monitor. > View Sample
Now comes a great website call YUDU where you can upload your brochure, catalogue etc and have various facilities to print, zoom in, view thumbnails, etc. Check out this sample > View Here

I have just launched my new corporate brand logo and website.
Logo Design
The new logo design is intended to simplify who I am and uses the typeface Dax but re-styled to make it more rounded and complete as a brand logo. I have also now included the strapline ‘Creative Design Solutions’ which is basically the service I provide. The reason for simplifying is that my existing logo ‘ad@mtrevor’ was derived from my personal email of ad@mtrevor.com with the ‘a’ being Advertising, ‘d’ being Design, ‘@’ intending to be And and the ‘m’ being Multimedia (e.g. Adam Trevor – Advertising, Design & Multimedia). I think I was trying to be a bit too clever.

Website Design
The website has been designed to give a general overview of the services I provide whilst also showcasing my portfolio of work. I’ve added a few new features like the Gallery Lightbox and have retained the Flash Flip Books. I have also extended my portfolio of website design and build which seem to be a larger percentage of the type of work I now create. I’ve also set about creating the website which is search engine optimized by complying to W3C XHTML 1.0 (see stats here), writing clean code, using specific paged keywords, creating Google site maps, Google Analytics and generally following the guidelines set out by Google on their website.
Anyway, enough of the babble – take a look at my new website at www.adamtrevor.co.uk
Please feedback any comments and views and i don’t mind the odd criticism.

Why is brand identity so important?
Having worked and created designs concepts for a wide range of companies from some of the leading blue chips through to your local small business, I believe brand identity is one of the keys to a successful business.
It’s the face of a business from being the corporate logo on a business card to a brand logo on a cereal box. A good strong brand or logo represent who you are and what your products and services are about.
Internet search engine Google has been named as the world’s top brand, according to The Centre for Brand Analysis. With the increase in recent online shopping it’s no surprise.
